Vocations

We are Called to be Servants

Our vocation, as our title indicates, is to be servants of the Paraclete. Our Founder preferred that we be called “servants”. We rely on the mysterious guidance of the Spirit to lead us to the truth and we hope to be filled with His healing love in our ministry.

• Founded to help members follow Christ more closely
• Provide a special need in the Church as the Body of Christ
• Dedicated to spiritual renewal in their own lives as well as the lives of priests and religious brothers, especially those experiencing personal and vocational difficulties

Our Charism

The Congregation of the Servants of the Paraclete undertakes, as its apostolate, the rendering of any possible and prudent service to those who have received the Sacrament of Holy Orders.

Servant of the Paraclete Maxims are principles taken from the works of Father Gerald Fitzgerald, founder of the Congregation, in his writing and teaching to his followers:

“Oh how marvelous is the life of a priest. It is Jesus Christ finding another way to live on in the world and to go about doing good (Maxim 20).”
